Automatic Injury Detection Sensors

Automatic Injury Detection Sensors are panels inserted into a bullet proof vest to detect when an officer has been shot or stabbed. A signal is sent from the sensor panel via bluetooth to the user's smartwatch or smartphone. Within seconds, a message is automatically transmitted to dispatch and any other personnel with the officer's exact location, blood type and medical information. Additionally, critical information about where the officer is injured and what type and size of weapon was used. The phones and watches are part of FirstNet which gives the devices priority when the network is congested.
